How to Add a RSS feed to your own sites
Blogger:
If you have used Blogger to create your PLE
goto Layout tab->Page Elements
click on the "Add a Gadget" Button
select the Feed gadget
enter one of the RSS feeds you found
WikiSpaces:
If you have used wikispaces to create your PLE
edit a page and click on the Widgets icon (looks like a little TV).
click on the RSS Feed widget
follow instructions to add an RSS feed to your site.
PBWiki:
If you have used PBWiki to create your PLE
edit the page where you want to put the RSS feed
click on insert plugin->productivity->any Google gadget
click on the "here" link to access the Google gadget directory (this should open the directory in a new browser tab or window)
type in the search term RSS
select a google gadget like Slim RSS Reader, or Simple RSS Reader (I had some problems with CustomRSS gadget)
click on the button that says "add to your webpage" (this will give you a page where you will customize your gadget)
cut and paste the RSS feed URL where prompted
click the button at the bottom of the page that says "get the code"
a box should open with text in it that begins with "<script src=" and ends with "</script>" and has a whole bunch of junk in between.
copy the text (i.e., code) from this box and paste it back in the PBWiki box that you left in step 3
Click the "preview" button and then the "OK" button
save your wiki page
Google Sites:
When you are editing a page . . .
click on insert->more
this will take you to a list of google gadgets
type in the search term RSS
select a google gadget like CustomRSS, Slim RSS Reader, or Simple RSS Reader
cut and paste the RSS feed URL where prompted
save the page

select the Link List gadget
Enter the Title of the list and the link URLs with their titles.
WikiSpaces:
If you have used wikispaces to create your PLE
select or create a page to edit
highlight text that is on the page
click on the link icon in the editing tool bar
select the external link button
enter the link URL
click OK
PBWiki:
If you have used PBWiki to create your PLE
select or create a page to edit
highlight text that is on the page
click on the link icon in the editing tool bar
select URL under link type
enter the link URL
click OK
Google Sites:
If you have used Google Sites to create your PLE
select or create a page to edit
highlight text that is on the page
click on the word "Link" in the editing tool bar
select the Web Address option
enter the link URL
click OK
